Rita has turned colourful mayhem into monochrome serenity in her 1930s home; NL

While Rita immediately fell in love with the exterior of this 1935 house, the interior was a bit of a shock, as the previous owners had painted every surface a different bright colour. But despite the cacophony of colour, Rita could see that, underneath, the house was everything she had dreamed of. Today the house has a more tranquil soul, thanks to a reserved black-and-white colour palette and abundant natural materials.
