Silk Screen Design

Feature 00580149 | © living4media / Gallo Images | 15 images

How to make your own silk screen prints

Screen printing is often used in the art, craft and fashion industries. An ink pattern is transferred onto fabric. The technique employs a screen on which those areas that do not form part of the design are blocked out with a stencil or water resistant glue. Acrylic screen-printing ink is then forced through tiny openings in the screen with the use of a screen-printing squeegee that transfers the design onto the fabric.
